It's a very short week because of Conferences but there is still plenty going on. Please remember there is no school Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9, however, students are expected to come to Conferences.
Take a look below at all the reminders for the coming week.
Field Trip Permission Slip Due Monday, Nov. 5: Students in 5K through 8th Grade will head to Church of the Gesu followed by a Marquette University Women's Basketball Game on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Students will be gone from 9 am to about 2:15 pm. Only students who have returned a permission slip will be allowed to go. Please print the permission slip here.
Just a reminder students are welcome to wear a spirit wear top with uniform bottoms on the field trip. No Dress Down Passes on this day please. Students must have a cold lunch and they are welcome to bring money for snacks at the concessions stand. We're looking forward to this day and rewarding students for a strong 1st Quarter.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures For Tuesday, Nov. 6: St. Charles is a designated voting site for Hartland on Tuesday, Nov. 6 and all voters in the Village of Hartland will cast their ballots at St. Charles. The school will have an alternate drop-off and pick-up procedure for this day only to avoid the extra traffic from voters coming into the parking lot in the morning and in the afternoon. Our most important priority is ensuring the safety of our students. Similar to drop-off and pick-up procedures for Fall Fest in September, we will use the west entrance off of Renson Road for morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Without the Fall Fest tents set up, we will be able to create a larger loop of cars so that more vehicles can fit in the =E2=80=9Cqueue" and off of Renson Road. Staff will direct traffic and help students. Please be patient during drop-off and pick-up on Tuesday.
Special Schedule On Tuesday, Nov. 6: With voters on the campus voting on Tuesday, St. Charles is taking all precautions to keep our students safe. Parish and school staff members will stand near the locked doors in the hallway between the parish and school (near the bathrooms) at all times throughout the day when our students are in school. The doors will remain closed and locked all day.
All students need to bring a cold lunch on this day as we will not offer hot lunch. Students in 3K and 4K will eat in their classrooms in order for them to be kept within the locked doors. Students in 5K through 8th Grade will be off campus for lunch.
Conference Sign-Ups: Please sign-up to meet with your child's teachers during Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday, Nov. 9. We encourage you to meet with as many of your child's teachers as possible as our teachers have a lot of good information to convey about each student. Please make conferences a priority during the two days off of school. It will benefit your child to meet with teachers and receive feedback.
Sign-up for conferences here. The process is easy and doesn't take much time. There are many spots remaining so finding a convenient time to meet with teachers should be relatively easy. Please note that sign-ups will close on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at noon so please reserve your spots before then. After that time sign-ups will no longer be available. If you have questions please email or call the School Office at 262-367-2040.
Who Wants Pizza? The first Pizza Lunch of the school year is Wednesday, Nov. 7. There will be no hot lunch served that day and students must bring either a cold lunch or have the pizza lunch which includes a piece of pizza, applesauce or carrots and milk for $4. There will also be a Bake Sale with items priced at 50 cents each. This is a fundraiser for the 8th Grade. Learn more and complete your order form here. Organizers will take late orders on Monday, Nov. 5. Get your orders in now!
Bring The Traveling Rosary Shrine Into Your Home: The Traveling Rosary Shrine is ready to be welcomed into your home! The family hosting the shrine would say the rosary daily in their home. This is a beautiful way to honor our Blessed Mother and recite the rosary with your children. If you would like to sign-up for a week-long visit click here. The traveling shrine enters your home on a Wednesday and you pass it onto another family the following Wednesday.
Spirit Wear Wednesday, Nov. 7: Please wear St. Charles t-shirts, hoodies and other spirit wear on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Show school pride! Please wear spirit wear tops with uniform bottoms.
Trivia Night Is Back: Grab friends and create a team for the annual Trivia Night at St. Charles on Saturday, Nov. 17. If you've never attended this signature event you must try it this year. Loads of fun and laughter. It's a great way to meet other parents and parishioners while raising money for the school. Registrations are still being accepted.
