Reminders For The Last Week Of April
With only 28 days of school remaining -- fewer for our 8th Graders -- there is a lot going on in the next five weeks. Take a minute to read about important dates for this coming week.

Last Homework Club:  The final Homework Club session is this Monday, April 29. Thank you to our tutors and students for another successful year. We will see in the Fall for the 2019-2020 School Year.

Spring Concert: The Spring Concert is Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 pm in the gym. Music Teacher Ms. Stalteri and the students only have a couple of days to rehearse before the big night so please make sure your children are in school all week. Doors to the gym will open at 6 pm and students should report to their classrooms by 6 pm. We are looking forward to an enjoyable evening!

VIP Day: Our Very Important Person Day (formerly known as Grandparents Day) is set for Friday, May 3. If you're able to volunteer on VIP Day or bring in food please click HERE. We need help to make this St. Charles signature event a shining success. There are many open spots so please help.

Also please remember this is an Early Release Day with school ending at 11:45 am. We need to know which students are leaving with their relatives. Take a minute to print the permission SLIP and fill it out and return it to your child's teacher by Monday, April 29.

VIP Day is one of the best days of the year because we show off our school to family members and friends. The morning begins with Mass at 8:30 am followed by a light breakfast in the Borromeo Room. Students then show their VIP guests around the school making stops at the 4th Grade Folk Fair in the Parish Hall, the library, classrooms, the Science Fair display, gym and much more.

13th Annual Walk/Run For Food: The St. Charles Parish Track and Field Team is asking for help and support as students live by the team motto: "Never take more than you give.=E2=80=9D On Sunday, May 5 at 12 pm the 13th Annual Run For Food event takes place. Students along with members of the parish community, run and walk 100 miles in under an hour. Students look for sponsors who are willing to donate to the run/walk. Donations are given to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, Blessings in a Backpack and The Kipsongo Project in honor of Krystina Finn. Please consider joining the student athletes and coaches on the Arrowhead High School track to walk or run some laps and donate to help the team give back to the community! For more information click HERE.

St. Vincent de Paul Donation Van At St. Charles Next Weekend:  Did you clean out closets and drawers during Easter Break? If you need a place to drop off donations look no further than St. Charles as the St. Vincent de Paul Donation Truck will be on church grounds Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. Please bring your donations of linens, small appliances, small household items, electronics, and new and used clothing in any condition (torn textiles are accepted) and let St. Vincent de Paul recycle your items back into use. Donations will be given to the poor or sold to support St. Vincent de Paul=E2=80=99s many special works. Read more HERE.

Lost And Found Bin:  With only five weeks of school remaining, now is the time to look through the Lost and Found bin outside the School Office. There are nice jackets and winter wear that students have left behind. Stop in and look -- you might be surprised what you find!
